StarBed Hideaways and COVID-19
We are so looking forward to being able to welcome guests back again to the stunning, secluded, blissful tranquillity of StarBeds, nature has blossomed and the hideaways are as magical as ever. Our wish is for you to sink into that wonderful holiday mode but with the reassurance that every necessary measure is in place for your safety and wellbeing.
We are waiting, along with many in the industry, for confirmed advice and guidance from the government, which may impact our operational procedures in order that we prioritise the wellbeing and safety of our staff, guests and family. We wanted however, to be as transparent as possible and as such whilst some aspects may change – and we will always inform guests individually of any necessary changes in advance of their stay, the following offers our current position.
- For your reassurance – StarBeds will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitised before your arrival, all staff are temperature checked on arrival, all staff will wear appropriate PPE as prescribed by government regulations and will be washing their hands regularly.
- Flexible Booking Policy – If we are not able to welcome you for the dates you had booked to stay at StarBeds (due, for example, to another lock down) we would offer to reschedule your dates or refund your payment. Please note that if we are able to welcome you but your circumstances result in you wishing to cancel your booking, your travel insurance would need to cover this eventuality.
- Transport at check in and check out – our “usual” offering is that we personally welcome and drive guests and their luggage up to their StarBed and show them around at check in (4-6pm) and check out (10.30-11am) – we are anticipating that this may need to be adapted whereby at one end of the scale guests may need to walk up for self check in and we will transfer their luggage up later or if guests would prefer and we are able, to transfer both guests and their luggage at check in, it may need to be with a set pre-booked time to facilitate this or we would need to revert to the former. In both instances we would not offer to show guests around their StarBed due to social distancing.
- Larder and Cellar Orders – Due to logistics we will only be able to offer cellar orders for this season and would therefore ask guests to shop accordingly as whilst many local artisan shops are opening, along with super markets, local eateries opening times will be gradual – although we do have some super local takeaways.
