FALCONRY

The Tamar Valley and the surrounding high moorland provide the perfect theatre from which to enjoy a thrilling, flight-perfect bird of prey display. Handling sessions can be booked for individuals and couples with our friendly falconer allowing guests to get up close personal with these majestic birds of prey.

DARTMOOR

They say that if you want a real insight into a destination, you need to meet the locals. For day filled with breath-taking views of moorland swathed in bluebells, gorse or heather, an abundance of the purest of fresh air in the country, native livestock and an appreciation of how the local landscape governs rural livelihood, there’s nothing better than a hill farm visit, a charismatic guide and a spot of walking. LITERARY DEVON

For a cultural excursion, less welly boots and weather and more literature and history; you can spend a day out visiting splendid historical houses and statement gardens in the land of Sir Frances Drake, Agatha Christie and Daphne Du Maurier. Pretty moorland villages abound in a setting peppered with opportunity for cream teas and Jail Ale. We work with a fabulous local guide and vehicle hire can be included.

Roof down, picnic in boot, sunhats and freedom: it’s a wonderful, old fashioned and romantic cliché, but it’s definitely one of the best ways to explore glorious Dartmoor.
